After sailing for about 3 hours from Al Lith port, we will reach the first diving sites; primeval places that will immediately give you the feeling of being in an unexplored world. The island of Mar Mar is not only a wonderful dive site but also an excellent night anchorage. A short distance away are the islands of Dohra, Jadir, Malathu and the Gorgonia, Bandu and Long reefs. Sailing another 25 miles south you will reach a second group of reefs and sha’ab Ammar, a large atoll also used as a night anchorage. Farther south you will find the islands of Danak, Jabbara, and the coral atolls of Mudarr, Fantasy and Choppy. A common feature of all these diving sites is the incredible variety of hard and soft corals in addition to the dense presence of coral reef fish and migratory fish.
Diving over the north- and south-facing plateaus, you will see large pelagic fish including schools of hammerhead sharks, carangidae and barracudas.
